Joshua v Klitschko
The boys from Middle and Hall were treated to an epic boxing clash on Saturday night, described by many as the best fight in recent memory! Mr Matthews described it as the best fight he has ever seen - and in case you didn't know, he used to box ...

Hockey House Matches 2017
Middle House claimed 2/3 titles in this year's House Hockey competition with the Year 10 and Senior sides both being crowned champions. The Year 9 side competed admirably but missed out on the title this year, I'm sure they will be keen to put aside their disappointment and push for next year's crown. Houses matches are always tense, gritty affairs and so this proved in all competitions with narrow victories and some drawn matches proving to be enough to claim the titles in all age groups. All of the boys gave their all and contributed to some fantastically competitive matches, they should be proud of their achievements! Please follow the link below to some superb action shots taken by Middle's very own Rory Elliot.

MUN 2017
MUN rolled into town this past weekend and took over the school campus to debate the latest issues in world politics. There was a strong showing from Middle House men who took up various positions as 'Chairs' and 'Delegates' for countries around the world. It was a great opportunity not only to raise awareness and broaden knowledge of the worlds current issues but also to meet people from schools around the whole country. The boys were fantastic in their participation and were still enthusiastic if not a little exhausted by Sunday evening!

Boarder's Bake Off
This year's boarders bake off challenge saw the houses competing for a range of different prizes across different year groups. The theme was sustainability and the Middle boys rose to the challenge superbly, creating a number of creative cakes for the judges to sample. The Year 9, 10 and 11 entry was perhaps more enthusiasm than but nonetheless was well received. Andrie Dinu, Anan Gurung and Zary Nwakado stole the show and won the overall award, a superb effort from the Year 12 boys, their secret ingredient was clearly a hit with all of the judges ...

House Rugby Matches 2016
The house rugby matches were an opportunity for the boys to run out against boys from the other houses who they would normally play alongside in school fixtures, this always adds an element of spice to the games! The Year 9 team won both of their matches to claim the trophy as did the Year 10 boys. The senior team, made up from boys from Year 11, 12 and 13 minus the schools 1st XV players won their first game against Upper House but narrowly missed out to Hall House who were the eventual winners. It was excellent to see a number boys who don't normally play rugby turn out in House colours, everyone involved played in the right spirit and they can be rightly proud of their performance on and off the field, their attitude towards all aspects of the event was exemplary. Another very successful week for the Middle men!
